By Lisa Carolin

The sun cast a warmth over the region on Saturday, but weather forecasters warn that could change: After a high of 31, it will feel closer to 7 degrees overnight as the wind chill combines with a low of 16.

And weather experts say that wind chill will continue to make it feel significantly colder for the next few days even as the area experiences a bit of a warmup.

Sunday will be mostly cloudy with a 50 percent chance of rain in the afternoon. The high temperature is predicted to hit 37 degrees, but the wind chill could make it feel closer to 9 degrees. Winds will be from the SSE at 10-15 mph.

There is a 90 percent chance of rain Sunday night, when and the temperature will stay in the 30s.

It is predicted to rise to 39 degrees Monday when there will be a wind chill as low as 25 degrees and a 30 percent chance of snow and rain throughout the day. Wind gusts could reach as high as 35 mph.

Tuesday's high is predicted to reach 34 degrees with a wind chill close to 14 degrees and winds from the west at 15-20 mph.

The normal high for February 9 is 34 degrees and the normal low is 20 degrees. Sunset will be at 6 p.m. this evening and sunrise Sunday at 7:39 a.m.
