Thieves created a diversion to distract a cashier, then used a cash register key to get inside a register at Kroger and steal money Friday, according to the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department.
The theft occurred around 11 a.m. at the Kroger in the 1700 block of East Michigan Avenue.
No further details were available today.
