Transportation options for a safe New Year's Eve
People headed out on the town for New Year’s Eve, may want to have a back-up plan for getting home, if planning to indulge in a few drinks.
The Ann Arbor Transportation Authority offers a Holiday Ride program on New Year’s. It operates similarly to the city of Ann Arbor’s weekday Night Ride program, which runs from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. within city limits.
On Thursday, a new expanded Night Ride service area was introduced, just in time for the holiday. The AATA buses now operate the Night/Holiday Ride in a limited section of Pittsfield Township as well.
The fare for the Holiday Ride is $5 per person or $2.50 for people with an AATA-issued or senior citizen card.
Call (734) 528-5432 for a ride on Saturday.
AnnArbor.com was on the hunt for free or discounted New Year’s Eve transportation services in the area. But, finding none, please make use of this list of taxi options on the Ann Arbor Area Convention and Visitors Bureau's website.
