Traveling wind energy presentation coming to Ann Arbor

By Heather Lockwood

Area residents interested in learning more about wind energy are invited to attend “Small Wind: Will it Work for You?” in Ann Arbor on Aug. 30.

The presentation, given by a pair of Michigan State University agricultural economists, is to take place from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Washtenaw County Michigan State University Extension office, 705 N. Zeeb Rd.

According to a news release, presenters Steve Harsh and Lynn Hamilton are "working with MSU Extension educators in seven counties to talk to residents about using small wind turbines to power a farm, home or business."

The presentation is being given throughout the state from Aug. 9-29.
