Road Commission meeting will discuss Marshall Road paving agreement
Dexter Community Schools and the Washtenaw County Road Commission are expected to ink a deal that will pave Marshall Road from the schools’ transportation building west to the existing pavement.
Dexter Schools has agreed to contribute $100,000 toward the project, and the agreement is expected to be approved today at the Road Commission meeting that begins at 1 p.m.
Also on the agenda are additional road work contracts for Ann Arbor, Scio and York townships.
The board is also expected to discuss a removal order for an illegal spillway that was constructed on Parker Road, which is causing storm water discharge on the road. The problem began in 2009 and has not been corrected.
Because two board members are unable to attend the second meeting of the month scheduled for July 19, the board is also expected to cancel its second regular meeting of the month, as well as a planned work session.
