Two burglaries on Ann Arbor's south side under investigation
Ann Arbor police are investigating two burglaries Tuesday on the city's south side that may be related, police Lt. Renee Bush said.
The break-ins occurred about noon in the 1500 block of Kensington Drive and 1400 block of Jewett Avenue, police said.
In both cases, doors were forced open and money was taken, Bush said. A television also was taken from the Kensington Drive home, police said.
Police are interested in talking to a man seen leaving from the area of the Jewett Avenue home, Bush said.
He was described as black, between 5 feet, 11 inches and 6 feet tall, about 50 years old with a medium build. He was wearing an olive-colored jacket and dark-colored stocking cap. He left in an older-model tan, four-door car, Bush said.
