Two-car crash blocks one lane on U.S. 23 on south side of Ann Arbor

A crash snarled traffic Tuesday morning on U.S. 23 on the south side of Ann Arbor.
The two-vehicle crash is on northbound U.S. 23 just north of Michigan Avenue, a dispatcher with the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office said.
The right lane of the northbound freeway is blocked, a dispatcher said just after 9 a.m. A Google traffic map showed traffic backed up all the way to Willis Road. Michigan State Police were on the scene and expected to reopen the lane soon, the dispatcher said.
Injuries were reported, the dispatcher said, but no further information was immediately available

Actually, as is so often the case in these AA.com crash news articles and maps, the map and the description of the crash location are wrong. This occurred on the NORTH side of Rt 94 just north of the Rt. 23 overpass over Rt. 94. It was just south of where the Rt. 94 traffic getting onto 23 north merges in.

Yes, and AA.com's "correction" said "near U.S.23" instead of "near I-94" as it should have!

"...on U.S. 23 on south side of Ann Arbor" i thought us23 borders ann arbor on the east? therefore, it can't geographically border it on the south side of ann arbor...

Two cars both pretty demolished. Apparently, one was southbound on 23 and came sliding across the median into the northbound traffic and got hit. It was turned facing southbound in the northbound lane. The driver of the other car was walking from her car when I came through but I didn't see the other driver.
