Two crashes reported on I-94 in Ann Arbor

Update: Both crashes had been cleared from the freeway as of 5:40 p.m., a dispatcher said.

Emergency crews were responding to reports of two crashes on I-94 in the Ann Arbor area this afternoon.

One crash, at eastbound I-94 near Stone School Road was believed to involve 2 vehicles, initial reports indicated.

The other was on westbound I-94 west of Jackson Road, a dispatcher with the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office said at 4:20 p.m. Further information was not immediately available.

A Google traffic map showed a traffic slowdown in the area of Stone School Road.

So that's why traffic on eastbound I-94 was so backed up at 4:55? I'm not usually on westbound I-94 at that time, but I thought it was normal for that time of day. So that's what all the sirens were probably about this afternoon.
