The University of Michigan Depression Center and Ann Arbor District Library are hosting a forum on later-life depression.

“Depression after 60: Prevention, Diagnosis and Treatment” will take place from 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 23 at the downtown branch, 343 S. 5th Ave.

U-M Clinical Lecturer Sara Wright, who is a member of the Depression Center, will give an overview on the latest research in depression that occurs after age 60 and discuss prevention, diagnosis and treatment.

The forum will also include a Q & A session and a discussion with panelists Dr. Stephen Arson, medical director of inpatient psychiatry at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital; and Mariko Foulk, a clinical social worker at the U-M Turner Geriatric Clinic.

The event is free and open to the public.
