U-M names new director for marching band

The University of Michigan looked to its own for replacing the leader of its marching band, according to a report in the Michigan Daily.

John Pasquale, assistant director of bands and associate director of marching and athletic bands, will be the new director of Michigan Marching and Athletics Bands, the band announced Wednesday.

Pasquale replaces Scott Boerma, who resigned early this month as he becomes director of bands at Western Michigan University.

@Blue Marker, I agree and I'm glad that I'm not the only one who thinks highly of this band. I've sat in the bleachers and watched them practice many times, in ALL kinds of weather. these people work very hard and the results are clear. Hats off to the GREATEST MARCHING BAND ON THE PLANET! YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!!
