University of Michigan students get ready for the big game by trash-talking the Spartans

Since last week's win against Indiana University, University of Michigan fans have been preparing for this week's football showdown with Michigan State.
Here's what four U-M students have been doing all week, what they think about the game and their best trash talk about the Spartans:

Let's level the playing field. A better starting point for recording stats of the rivalry between our two universities is when MSU joined the Big Ten. Since that time the Wolverines have a narrower advantage; 34-21-2.

Michigan being down for two years is still bigger news locally and nationally than anything MSU has done since the 10-10 tie to ND in 1966. Mich 28-24 with our defense playing a great game!

Michigan State has a great defense attorney, thats how they keep all their criminal collage football players out of jail.

MSU will score 49 on this defense and win it MSU 49 - UM 35. Offense cannot be counted on to win big games. Sure, it will win some, but it is too volatile. A solid defense has a greater influence on the outcome. In this game, it's simple. MSU defense is much better than UM defense. This is the state of UM football - win some and have fun while doing it, but lose the important games where defense fails to hold the line.

Basketball is a second thought in the minds of most collage sports fans, thats why Michigan State is the second school in Michigan, in the minds of most.

Stefanie Murray if AnnArbor.com limts trash talk to creative, interesting, and clean comments they will be leaving out most Spartans, maybe you could relax your standards just for Spartans.

Jameslucas, Now I understand why Wolverine faithful are so nervous. They have learned from history. MSU found a tough, strong willed coach that made UM a priority every year... proceeding to beat them ruthlessly and made MSU a national power, second to none! Izzo has made UM a second thought. You see the same thing coming with Dantonio. State by 10!

Just a reminder, it's been 1070 days since that little Hart kid made his arrogant remark. UM hasn't won a basketball or football game since. Just sayin'.

Jameslucas, My MSU football program has been steadily increasing under Dantonio, and appears to be a stronger program than UM's under RR. No worries here. And if you truly want to step up to the plate... MSU shines from October 15th (Midnight Madnesss) through March Madness. MSU is a proud university, and the "natural order" has been established. UM faithful are just not intelligent enough to realize it.

James you are living in the past. Michigan has not been relevant in years. Football and basketball have been down and Michigan might become good but they will not be great. Nebraska will pound Michigan in the years to come and Michigan will always be Ohio State little sister. I think State has improved over the years as has has Michigan. Lets try and take our blue google off and understand Michigan is good but not great. They will not win championships playing offense and no defense. Everybody in the big ten looks up to Ohio State......... Even Meeechigan!!

Every year the Michigan State Spartans are allowed a week of glory before it all comes crashing down, this year it was the week after the Wisconsin game, every Spartan knows this deep down if they just search their hart and head. It is the natural order of things, no matter how many sofas are burnt in sacrifice to the football gods, this fact will never change. Its not that we are unsympathetic little brother, but it is just the way things have always been, part of growing up is accepting the fact that life is not always fair.
