University of Michigan student cut with glass during domestic dispute, police say
Ann Arbor police detectives are investigating a domestic dispute involving a 22-year-old University of Michigan student who was hit in the head with a glass object Sunday at Weber's Inn.
The victim, who suffered a cut to his forehead, was taken by ambulance to the University of Michigan Hospital after the 11:26 p.m. assault, the police report said.
He was later released.
The victim called police to report his girlfriend struck him with the object, the report said. But when police responded to the hotel at 3050 Jackson Avenue, he was not cooperative, according to the report.
Police would not release the victim's name, and further details were not available.
AnnArbor.com has filed a Freedom of Information Act request, seeking a copy of the police report.

Maybe we need to issue permits. Make people take mandatory glass use training and pay a fee to be registered to use glass objects. Also, require (legal) owners of glass objects to keep them secured in a safe when not in use.

Here is a reason to follow England's example and ban glass! They've banned glass mugs in pubs for this very reason!! We should do the same!!!

Seriously? Why investigate? He has evidence of being struck, and seems the girlfriend did may very well have hit him...she should have been arrested on the spot for suspicion of domestic violence.
