Credit card brings in $1.6 million for U-M alumni association
The Alumni Association of the University of Michigan made $1.6 million from its branded credit card last year, the Detroit Free Press reported. That was the most made from a university-branded credit card in the state and the third-most in the country, according to the article.
Across the state, university-branded credit cards made $2.7 million for alumni associations and universities, the article said.
The figures came from a Federal Reserve report required by new laws that regulate marketing to college students, the Free Press reported.

Excellent. Before long U of M will be self sufficent? No need for continuing (eduction) increase in tutition. I'm sure the Alumni contributions reduce the expenses of the school.
