University of Michigan announces new dean of School of Natural Resources

By Kyle Feldscher

The University of Michigan will hire Marie Lynn Miranda as the next dean of the School of Natural Resources, university officials announced Friday.

Miranda is a faculty member at Duke University and is involved in numerous schools and programs. She founded Duke’s Children’s Environmental Health Initiative, and has served as the director of the institute since 1999.

U-M provost Phil Hanlon said Miranda has a strong history as both a teacher and a researcher and he was thrilled to have her come to Ann Arbor.

“Dr. Miranda has a track record as a dedicated teacher and an accomplished researcher,” Hanlon said in a statement. “As a successful leader of the Children’s Environmental Health Initiative at Duke University, she is both an effective public spokesperson and an able administrator. We look forward to welcoming her to our campus.”

Miranda is set to assume the role of dean on Jan. 1, 2012. The university’s Board of Regents must approve her appointment before it becomes official, Hanlon said.

Jist for the record. The school of Natural Resources was founded by Professor F. Roth who came from the little village of Wilhel;msdorf Germany in the 1880's Many immigrants followed him to Ann Arbor from that little village near Lake Constance , after World War One ,

Oh look UM found another global warming fraud Kool Aid drinker. ..a little advice dean: You might want to consider how many degree programs the UM has will become worthless the minute the global warming fraud is finally buried. I expect students who the next day hold degrees based on a corrupt nonsensical hypothesis will sue the University to get their tuition money back. Al Gore and his 4 year degree in "Government" (bottom 5th of his class and proud of it!), have already moved on to the next crisis - over population!! ....even though the US grows more food on less land every year - don't look behind the curtain. The UM college of global warming should be closed.

...so UM would still be applying to the church for grant money so they could continue re-writing the same papers claiming the earth was flat "because despite the evidence, most "believed" it so"? LOL ...such a pity when so many don't know enough to be embarrassed.

I suspect there were these kinds of replies to the news that the earth was round.
