The University of Michigan Diag was a busy place last night.
In an event dubbed “Sleep Out for the Homeless,” members of the and other U-M students braved a cold and rainy night to draw attention to the struggles and hardship of the homeless.
On Thursday, October 22, 2009, the young men of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Delta Rho chapter at University of Michigan held their annual “Sleep Out for the Homeless” event.
Camped out on the Diag from 9:30 p.m. last night through 8 a.m. this morning, the students provided hot food to any homeless people that came by. The group also received donations of shelter necessities, clothing and non-perishable foods for the Delonis Center Shelter Association of Washtenaw County.
