University of Michigan student knocked unconscious during assault

A University of Michigan student was knocked unconscious after being punched in the face Sunday morning in the 4th & William Parking Structure, an Ann Arbor police report said.

He was taken to the U-M Hospital about 2:28 a.m. and had no recollection of what occurred, the report said.

His friends got into a dispute with at least six other men in the parking structure, and he got caught in the middle, the report said.

The victim was hit as he was walking through the crowd, witnesses told police.

The incident occurred shortly after the victim's friends were kicked out of The Fifth Quarter, a club on South Fifth Avenue, according to the report.

Anyone with information can call police at (734) 794-6939.

Clearly, that is one of the worst areas you can go to, in the entire town. I've thought for years, they should shut the Fifth Quarter down. What a stupid and dumpy bar.
