Although snow showers are expected to continue during the late afternoon Friday, the bulk of the snow will fall between 7 p.m. Friday and 1 a.m. Saturday, said Amos Dodson, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in White Lake Township. Visibility could be reduced to a half mile or less at times, the National Weather Service said

Temperatures will fall as a cold front moves in, with the low dropping to around 13 and wind chill values as low as 4 degrees below zero. The cold will continue Saturday with winds gusting to 29 mph, creating wind chill values as low as minus 5 during the morning.

Winds will die down somewhat during the afternoon, Dodson said, but temperatures will remain cold with the high between 17 and 22. Saturday night, the low will again dip to around 15.

Sunday, the forecast calls for mostly sunny skies and a high around 29.

It was fun at 6 this morning. Washtenaw county had its trucks out but did not see Wayne county. Their roads you could tell the difference when you crossed county lines. Otherwise I am staying home if I do not have to go out.

Good thing this happened on the weekend. That way, the Road commission can say, no plowing, no salting, no problem! It's the weekend! And it will all melt sooner or later!

Well, it is almost 1 and about 16 degrees out with sun. Think the salt might melt something?

Sally, salt works so well when it is 7 degrees outside.

We've had lows in the single digits just once this winter, so far. I don't remember any wind chill factor added in then.

Just wait, it is suppose to hit 35 on Sunday and back to the 40's on Monday. So skip the shovel.
