US-23 south of Michigan Avenue closed in both directions due to crash

Updated story: 2 women injured in single rollover crash on US-23 in Pittsfield Township

US-23 is closed in both directions south of Michigan Avenue in Pittsfield Township due to a crash, Washtenaw County dispatchers say.

Both northbound lanes are currently closed, and one southbound lane is closed, police said.

It's unclear how long the freeway will remain closed. Dispatchers did not have any additional details on the crash.

Michigan State Police troopers are on the scene, but officials there did not have any information. 

Pittsfield Deputy Fire Chief Al D'Agostino said one driver was reported to be trapped, and an extrication team was sent to the scene. He said he did not have additional details.
