An Ypsilanti Township man was robbed at gunpoint by two intruders Tuesday evening, but police say the incident does not appear to be random.

The robbery occurred at about 8:20 p.m. in the 3300 block of East Michigan Avenue.

Two men entered the residence and threatened the homeowner with a “long gun,” according to the sheriff’s summary.

The robbers took prescription pills, money and an iPod. They fled in a purple Chevy Malibu with two other people who didn't get out of the car, reports said.

The first robber was described as a light complected black man wearing a light leather coat with fur around the collar. The second robber was also described as black and was wearing a black coat with rhinestones.

The investigation is ongoing.
