Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department says don't leave cars unlocked, unattended

By Erica Hobbs

The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Department is warning area residents not to leave their cars unlocked and unattended after a couple vehicles were stolen from the Greene Farms subdivision in Ypsilanti Township.

Sgt. Lisa King said the vehicles were left running unattended in the owners’ driveways and were stolen in the early morning hours.

She said the cars were located nearby within two days and appear to be the work of kids.

No arrests have been made.

Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's tip line at 734-973-7711.

Don't leave your cars running and unattended. Pay special attention to people in the back seat. They may steal your ride. Oh yeah, that has already happened to the police, sorry!!!

Need to remind residents in the Anderson Apts area to keep your cars and doors locked. Our DD forgot to lock our car and it was ransacked. The sheriff again said it looks like the children are getting bored again. Is nothing sacred? The police followed the footprints to several cars and houses and they did lead to Anderson Apts and lost their tracks. We know what was taken this is the third time our car has been ransacked. Once the housing market gets better? We are outta here.

No, I don't live in Ypsi, thank dog! I live in Ann Arbor and work in Ypsi, so I see on a daily basis how funny Ypsi is! Hookers, Pimps, and the like! If I slow down to turn a corner to get lunch, there are at least three hookers trying to follow my car! The rest of the slime I just assume is trying to rob me! Let them come to my house. If my dog doesn't get them, my double barrel will!
