By AnnArbor.com Staff

Washtenaw County sheriff's deputies are warning York Township residents of several recent crimes in the area of Carpenter and Willis roads.

Police also are asking residents to be aware - and report any suspicious vehicles or people in the area.

On Thursday, a parent called police to say a child's musical instrument was stolen from a school in the 8200 block of Carpenter Road sometime in December.

On Friday, a resident in the 8300 block of Carpenter Road reported that his flat-bed utility trailer had been recently stolen.

Also Friday, a burglary was reported in the 1700 block of Willis Road. Someone broke a window on a rear door to gain entry, although nothing appeared to have been taken.

No suspects have been identified in any of the cases, police said.

Police asked anyone who has seen or sees suspicious activity in the area to report it, either by calling 911 or 734-971-8400.
