Chevrolet Suburban left running and unattended stolen from Ypsilanti Township parking lot
Another vehicle left unoccupied while being warmed up was swiped by a thief in Ypsilanti Township early Wednesday, the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department reported.
According to a media summary, the tan 1999 Chevrolet Suburban was warming up in the parking lot in the 700 block of Forest Court with the keys inside when it was stolen at 12:10 a.m. Wednesday.
Police say two people were seen near the vehicle wearing dark coats and clothes, but no detailed description of them was available.
Sgt. David Archer advised area residents not to leave running vehicles unattended.
Last Saturday night, a thief stole an unoccupied Cadillac Deville left running in the 1400 block of Gregory Street in Ypsilanti.
Anyone with information on the stolen vehicle is asked to call the sheriff's tip line at 734-973-7711.
