Water main break shuts Geddes Road in Ann Arbor

By Cindy Heflin

Geddes Road near Earhart Road remains closed in Ann Arbor this afternoon following a water main break, but water service has been restored to all but 2 customers.

Repairs on the 16-inch main are expected to take until about 4 p.m. today, the city said in a press release.

Geddes Road is open to local traffic only from Huron Parkway to the turnabout at Concordia University, the city said. All non-local traffic will be detoured to Glacier Way to Huron Parkway.

Water service was temporarily interrupted along Geddes Road between Huron Parkway and Earhart Road, said Lisa Wondrash, communications unit manager with the City of Ann Arbor. Service was restored to all but 2 customers in about 15 to 20 minutes, she said.
