Water main break shuts Geddes Road on east side of Ann Arbor
Workers are shutting down Geddes Road in Ann Arbor from Earhart Road to Huron Parkway in both directions because of a water main break, city spokeswoman Lisa Wondrash said about 3:30 p.m. Monday.
Crews expect to have it repaired after 10 p.m. Monday. Wondrash said she was notified of the water main break about 2:30 p.m., but she did not know what caused the break or the exact time it occurred.
No residents are without water at this time. If water has to be shut off during the repair process affected residents would be notified, Wondrash said.
Further information was not immediately available.

So close to the Huron River. I'm used to hearing of water main breaks 3 or more miles away from the Huron. Think I saw water on Independence Street one day last week, coming out of a fire hydrant at a curb, and no one was near it, so it flowed down the edge of the street.
