Weapons, electronics stolen from Ypsilanti Township home

Guns, electronics and jewelry were taken from a home on the 5000 block of Textile Road in Ypsilanti Township, according to the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Department.

Reports say the home’s front door was found open with no signs of forced entry. They say items stolen include two handguns, two shotguns, a rifle, a digital camera, a TV, two watches and several necklaces.

@malorie, you are assuming the weapons were NOT in a locked safe or gun cabinet. the story doesn't state either way. story only states no signs of forced entry to the home's front door. thank you.

If you're going to spend several hundred dollars on guns, INVEST IN A GUN SAFE AND USE IT! This is exactly how criminals get their hands on guns. I've read way too many news stories lately about guns being among the list of stolen items.
