Whitmore Lake man charged with sexually assaulting child

By Lee Higgins

A Whitmore Lake man is accused of sexually assaulting an 8-year-old child he knows at a Northfield Township home on July 23, township police said.

Robb Edward Williams, 30, was arraigned Monday at the Washtenaw County Jail on a charge of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, county court records show.

The alleged assault was reported to police Friday, and Williams was arrested Saturday, Northfield Township Public Safety Director William Wagner said.

Wagner declined to discuss the allegations, citing the ongoing investigation.

Williams is being held at the county jail on $100,000 bond. If convicted, he faces a minimum of 25 years and maximum of life in prison.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 17.

If he is guilty they can lock him up and throw away the key as far as I'm concerned. If he is guilty there is no cure for the demons that plague him.
