Ypsilanti police believe woman found dead in car committed suicide

By Lee Higgins

A woman found dead Sunday afternoon in a locked car on Pearl Street apparently committed suicide, Ypsilanti police said.

The 52-year-old Ypsilanti woman was found slumped over the wheel about 2 p.m. in the street's 200 block, a police news release said.

Evidence suggests she deliberately overdosed on drugs, the release said.

An autopsy is scheduled for today, police said.

This is very sad to hear. I am so sorry for her that she felt this was her best option. I wish her family and friends the best during this time of grief and frustration.
