Woman reports robbery outside apartment building on Green Road in Ypsilanti
Ypsilanti police are searching for a young robber accused of pushing a woman against an apartment building Thursday night and stealing her purse.
The 30-year-old woman told police she was walking to a building in the 700 block of Green Road at about 9:05 p.m. when someone ran up and pushed her against the wall.
The young man demanded her purse, and she dropped it, police said. He picked it up and left the area in a dark colored Chevrolet Cavalier.
The robber was described as 6 feet 2 inches tall, very thin, 15-16 years old, with short, curly hair. He was wearing dark jeans, a light-colored pullover sweatshirt with a dark T-shirt underneath, and jewelry on his wrists, neck and fingers. No other descriptive information was available.

Obviously, nobody really wants to stop this robber. We cannot be sure if male or female. Would this infomation be gender stereotyping? Just food for thought.

What is the ethnicity of the thief? There are a lot of 6'2" young men out and about dressed in that manner. Is there a sketch?
