Woman scares away men attempting to break into her Ypsilanti home

By Lee Higgins

A 23-year-old woman scared away four men this morning who attempted to break into her Washtenaw Avenue home, an Ypsilanti police incident log said.

The woman heard a noise and saw two men jump back from her window about 12:41 a.m., the log said.

She saw those men and two other men run toward a parking lot behind her house in the 400 block of Washtenaw Avenue, according to the log.

The screen on the window was pushed up, the log said. A screen on another window also was damaged.

Police are investigating.

I had a home invasion back in 1999 and walked in on the thief. I told him to leave...not realizing he already had some of my property in his pocket. Even though I am a women...Next time I will shoot first and talk later.

I must say that these idiots burglarizing idiots are going to end up breaking into the wrong house sooner or later, or robbing the wrong person on the street. I am a law abiding, tax paying citizen and god forbid them from robbing me on the street, because I have a CCW and will not hesitate to use my H & K 40 cal, if they happen to come into my home, I ALWAYS have my piece on me plus my Browning Auto 5 crammed with 00 buck. I will not think twice about defending myself with deadly force. This may seem harsh, but I will probably have a steak dinner after being cleared by the DA.

I hope they don't pick my house, as I'm locked and loaded, and not welcoming that life changing event.
