Ypsilanti burglar gets away with jewelry and counterfeit watches
An Ypsilanti resident returned home Friday afternoon to find a broken window, a ransacked bedroom and much jewelry missing, according to police reports.
The resident of the home on North Huron River Drive had been away since early Thursday morning, reports say.
A University of Michigan class ring and an Eastern Michigan University gold pin were among the items reported missing. Other gold and diamond rings were taken as well.
About 30 counterfeit Rolex and Breitling watches were part of the robber’s haul. The report did not give details about why the watches were in the house.

I don't think it's illegal to have knock off-watches is it?

Okay, if someone had counterfeit Rolex and Breitlings stolen, why in the world would they admit that? That's like admitting you were mugged and the mugger stole a bunch of counterfeit $20 bills from you...furthermore, is there no honor among theives or are the theives to dumb to recognize knock-offs? Hmmm....wondering if the "diamonds" in the rings stolen were paste...
