Ypsilanti Township man killed after one-vehicle crash, medical issue may be the cause
A 72-year-old Ypsilanti Township man died Tuesday after his car struck a vacant home in the 7300 block of Copper Creek in Ypsilanti Township, authorities said.
First responders were sent to the house at about 6 p.m. found a 1998 Cadillac in an embankment at the residence.
The driver, the only occupant of the vehicle, was transported to an area hospital and was pronounced dead. His identity has not been released.
Investigators determined the vehicle left a driveway and crossed the street before striking the home and stopping against a tree. The driver appeared to be in medical distress before the accident, according to the sheriff’s office report.
