Ypsilanti police investigate stabbing

A man was stabbed three times Sunday morning as he walked on a trail from West Ainsworth Street to Hawkins Street, an Ypsilanti police incident log said.

The man was in stable condition when police responded to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital's emergency room to interview him at 6:55 a.m. Sunday, the log said.

He told police two men pulled out knives and attacked him, but he has no idea why, police said.

The victim was unable to provide a detailed description of his attackers, police said.
