By Lee Higgins

A car stolen from a home on Osband Street that was burglarized Thursday has been recovered, an Ypsilanti police incident log said.

A 44-year-old woman returned home at about 3 p.m. to find jewelry, a cell phone, checkbooks and a Pontiac Grand Am were missing, according to the log.

Someone forced open a window to get inside.

Neighbors reported someone backed the car out of the driveway and struck a tree.

The car was later recovered near Mary Catherine and Nash streets in Ypsilanti Township, according to the log. The incident remains under investigation.
