Ypsilanti teen critically injured in hayride accident

Hamburg Township - A 14-year-old Ypsilanti boy is in critical condition today at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor after falling off a hayride wagon and being pinned under the trailer, near the axle, on Saturday, The Detroit News reported today.

The boy appeared to have a major head injury and may have been crushed by the weight of the trailer, police told The News. He was airlifted to the hospital by Survival Flight.

The teen was among a youth group from Trinity Free Will Baptist Church in Ypsilanti, The News said.
