Ypsilanti Township man pleads guilty to distributing child pornography
An Ypsilanti Township man is facing more than 12 years in federal prison after he admitted to e-mailing child pornography, federal court records show.
Brian Elliot Demarest, 41, who was indicted in December, pleaded guilty March 24 to distribution of child pornography.

Under a plea agreement reached with federal prosecutors, three counts of distributing child pornography and a count of possessing child pornography will be dismissed.
Demarest, who worked as a handyman, was arrested in October by Washtenaw County sheriff’s deputies when a woman he knows came forward after seeing child pornography on his cell phone, court records show.
In court documents, deputies say they found more than 3,500 images of pornography - the majority of which was child pornography - after examining memory cards for Demarest’s BlackBerry, a smartphone that includes Internet access.
Some of the pornographic images and videos were of girls as young as toddlers, documents say.
According to the plea agreement, the distribution charge stemmed from Demarest using his BlackBerry to send out “images of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct” over an e-mail account.
He faces between 151 and 188 months in prison when he is sentenced in July, according to federal sentencing guidelines.

Theres something thats gone wrong in these peoples heads/DNA that tell them that minors are attractive sexually. Incarceration won't cure the disease it just will most likely exacerbate the problem and introduce new and additional combinations of issues at the expense of the taxpayer. Pedos face serious mental illness and need professional long term help from which society will all benefit. Putting them in jail does nothing to treat the issue so expect more of the same when they return to society.

Why is his proposed sentence written in months for Petes sake? For clarification, my calculator and me worked it out to be 12.5 - 15.6 years.

Good Grief....get this guy off the streets. If you are so dependant on kiddie porn that you have to carry it around and look at it on your phone throught the day...that's a double helping of sicko on top of the obvious one.
