Cash register damaged during break-in at Gabriel's Hoagies

A cash register at an Ypsilanti Township restaurant was discovered damaged after a break-in Monday morning, but it appears nothing was stolen, deputies said.

Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a burglary alarm to Gabriel’s Hoagies, 2585 E. Michigan Ave., at 5 a.m. Monday after being notified of a burglary alarm.

Deputies said a rear door to the business was forced open and a cash register was damaged but not opened. It appears nothing was stolen from the business.

There was no suspect information to release Monday and deputies continue to investigate.
