Time to clean out the closet. Get rid of stuff I have had no idea what to do with for years.

DTE customers can have their old refrigerator or freezer recycled. Free pickup, and a $40 rebate. I used this program, and it was the easiest way to get rid of an extra fridge. http://www.dteenergy.com/residentialCustomers/saveEnergy/rebates/recyclingProgram.html

I would be wary of corporate recycling -- I'd stick with local efforts. Corporations are making money on reselling components.
