Crashes causing traffic tie-ups on I-94 near Willow Run and in Wayne County

By Cindy Heflin

A three-car crash has traffic backed up on westbound I-94 west of Wiard Road near Willow Run Airport in Washtenaw County, and a crash on eastbound I-94 in Wayne County has snarled the freeway in the opposite direction this morning.

A dispatcher with the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office said the three-car crash on westbound I-94 is partially blocking the freeway. The crash occurred about 7:45 a.m.

Motorists in the area reported long backups on the freeway. No further information was available.

A lengthy backup was also reported on eastbound I-94 in Wayne County from a crash near Haggerty Road.

Dading, we re-uploaded the map to try to get the preview to show the location of the crashes. If you're still not seeing two blue dots on the map, you can manually scroll over with your mouse to the east to find the locations. Hope that helps.

I go that way every morning and people play bob and weave around and near the by-pass exit like crazy (94 east bound) surprised there is not an accident every morning, I can't afford to go above the speed limit gas is to expensive.
