Deputies arrest two after woman reports man breaking into home

By Kyle Feldscher

Police have made two arrests after an Ypsilanti Township woman was given a scare Monday afternoon when a man entered her home during a break-in.

Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Derrick Jackson said the incident occurred in the 200 block of Stevens Drive. The woman was not harmed but was very startled, Jackson said.

The woman reported the incident to police, but the man had fled the area before deputies arrived on scene, Jackson said.

During a search of the area around the home, deputies arrested two men in relation to the home invasion, Jackson said.

More details on the break-in and arrests were not immediately available Monday evening, Jackson said.

The folks who write headlines and set writing style for annarbor.com should have this story tattooed on an appropriately handy appendage, because THIS is a home invasion and not a break-in or a burglary.
