Updated: Police find missing mom and her kids

Police are searching for a 29-year-old Ypsilanti Township mother and her two children who went missing this week.

Alisha Martinez, 29, was last seen by her boyfriend Tuesday morning at their home near the 3000 block of E. Michigan Avenue, according to Sgt. Geoffrey Fox of the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office.

“She was last seen that morning by her boyfriend,” Fox said. The boyfriend went out somewhere and “when he returned, she was gone.”

This was also the last time 8-year-old Areiyla Middleton and 3-year-old Elijah Isom were seen. Middleton has not been to school since Monday.

The boyfriend is the father of Isom, but not Middleton, police said.

Detectives are continuing to investigate all leads.

“At this point, we don’t suspect foul play,” Fox said. “ ... Hopefully we get some information this morning and this reaches a resolution.”

Martinez is described as being 5 foot 1 inch tall and 117 pounds. What she was wearing when last seen hasn't been determined.

Any information as to the whereabouts of this family should be directed to Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office Det. Everette Robbins at (734) 973-4884.

Information may also be directed to the confidential tip line (734) 973-7711 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK UP.
