Expect delays on a portion of Huron River Drive in Ypsilanti Township for paving starting Monday
Huron River Drive between Huron Street and Textile Road in Ypsilanti Township will be reduced to one lane beginning Monday for about five days for road paving.
The Washtenaw County Road Commission and Barrett Paving Materials, Inc. will begin asphalt paving on this stretch of road, and traffic will be reduced to one-lane with flaggers.
Access for residents, businesses and deliveries will be maintained; however motorists should expect delays.
The start date for this project is tentative as paving operations are weather dependent.

Why not pave that section on Grove Rd. in front of Rite Aid by Gault Village... My daughter blew a tire in that section.

That road has been bad for at least 6 years. WDIV was out doing a story a couple of weeks ago and said there was no money for the project. I wonder how Huron River Drive was chosen. There was nothing wrong with it in comparison.

Interesting.. I havent noticed that this stretch of road was particularly bad. wonder who twisted what arms to get a new road put in when there are many that are barely drivable
