Funeral set for 19-year-old who died after Hewitt Road crash

A funeral for the 19-year-old man who died after a two-vehicle crash on Hewitt Road in Ypsilanti Township Thursday morning has been scheduled for Friday.

Yeltsin Eduardo Gonzalez died Saturday from injuries suffered Thursday morning in a crash on Hewitt Road near Valley Drive in Ypsilanti Township.

Police said the car he was driving north crossed the centerline and collided with a southbound SUV. The woman driving the SUV suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at C&H Community Home for Funerals, Lucille's Memorial Chapel, 411 S. Adams St, Ypsilanti. Burial will follow in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Canton.
