Gravestones damaged at Ypsilanti Township cemetery

Several gravestones at St. John’s Cemetery in Ypsilanti Township were vandalized sometime before Monday, according to the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office.

The gravestones were reported damaged on Monday, but deputies do not know exactly when the vandalism occurred. The cemetery is located at 1400 N. River St.

The case is still under investigation, and police did not have any suspect information available Tuesday.

Anyone with information about the vandalism is encouraged to call the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office anonymous tip line at 734-973-7711.

As my child would so say it? The zombies did it. I believe this is an act of boredom from under utilized teenagers.
