The Ypsilanti Kiwanis Club hosted the Ypsilanti Heritage Festival annual rubber duck race Sunday. About 1,300 rubber ducks were adopted for five dollars each. The proceeds will be donated to programs and organizations associated with the Kiwanis Club of Ypsilanti.

Launched form the Cross Street Bridge, the rubber ducks travailed down the Huron river. The first 10 ducks that entered a chute at the end of the race won prizes for their adopters.

On the duck race, it would be great if a prize could be awarded to the LAST duck to make the journey! underdogs, umm I mean underDucks, should be rewarded too.

Yes I agree with that one. I saw the WCSD lost to another duck. O well. Maybe next year.
