Lincoln school district begins search for new superintendent, ask community to get involved
Lincoln Consolidated Schools has begun the search for the next superintendent, and district officials are asking the community to get involved in the process.
Outgoing Superintendent Lynn Cleary is expected to retire on June 30, and the school board has enlisted the Michigan Association of School Boards to assist in the search for her replacement.
District officials are asking the community to take a survey on their website to help construct the profile of the ideal candidate. The survey consists of 10 questions, and the information will be sent directly to MASB. The survey, available through Jan. 26, is anonymous.
Lincoln school board President Kim Samuelson said it’s important to make sure the community’s voice is heard.
“We want to involve the Lincoln community in this key decision,” she said in a statement. “We’ll be seeking input that will help us determine the background and personal characteristics we need in our new leader to keep the district moving forward."
