MacBook laptop taken from unlocked apartment

A MacBook laptop was stolen from an unlocked apartment, according to the Ypsilanti Police Department/

The victim reported the incident happened sometime between 4 p.m. Thursday and 12:30 p.m. Friday at his apartment on the 900 block of Railroad Street, in Ypsilanti.

It did not appear anything else was taken from the apartment and there are no suspects at this time.

Police are continuing to investigate this incident.

Jeez, this should go to the bottom of the police to do list. Should you even be considered a victim if you leave your apartment unlocked? Welcome to planet earth, it's not safe here and you are responsible for taking some measures to protect yourself and your property. Like turning a key.

Hopefully, it doesn't take more than one painful event for somebody to learn their lesson (for example, locking doors).
