Suspect arrested after robbery at Ypsilanti gas station
Ypsilanti police said they arrested a man suspected of robbing a gas station tonight after a witness followed him as he fled on foot.
About 5:20 p.m., a man entered the Boggs gas station convenience store in the 400 block of North Prospect Road and passed a note that demanded money and implied that he had a gun, a police news release said.
The man left with an undisclosed amount of cash, the release said, as the witness followed. Officers responded and arrested a 37-year-old man, recovering all of the stolen cash. Police said the man admitted to robbing the store. He was taken to the Washtenaw County Jail. Charges are pending.
Anyone with information can call Det. Sgt. Troy Fulton at (734) 482-9878.

I appreciate this apprehension as well. There is a K-6 elementary school/playground across the street and many children walk home from there.
