Police arrest 19-year-old after report of attempted home invasion

By Kyle Feldscher

A 19-year-old man was arrested Tuesday morning after an Ypsilanti Township resident heard noises outside of a home and called police, according to the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were dispatched at about 1:15 a.m. Tuesday to the 7000 block of Daisey Lane after a resident had heard strange noises outside of the home, according to police.

After they arrived in the area, deputies found a 19-year-old man nearby and arrested him for attempted home invasion, according to police.

No property was reported stolen from the home and the suspect never gained entry to the home, police said.

The police report will be sent to the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office for review and possible charges, according to police.

I think the suspect is a pretty lucky man, being the WCSD got to him before the home-owner.
