Man arrested for stealing laptop in Ypsilanti
Ypsilanti police arrested a 59-year-old man for stealing a laptop computer out of a building Sunday afternoon and lodged him at the Washtenaw County Jail.
Police reported responding at 1 p.m. Sunday to the 200 block of Washtenaw Avenue for a report of a larceny. The man took the laptop from the building and left the area on foot, according to police.
The man was arrested several blocks away by officers who were responding to the initial call, according to police.
Police took the man to the Washtenaw County Jail to await arraignment on potential charges. He had not been arraigned as of Monday morning.
