Motorcycle crash snarls traffic on I-94 in Ypsilanti

Michigan State Police were responding to a motorcycle crash on I-94 near Ypsilanti Thursday afternoon.
The crash, reported about 1:15 p.m., was on westbound Interstate 94 at Harris Road in Ypsilanti Township, a dispatcher said. Initial reports indicated two motorcycles were involved, but Ypsilanti Township firefighters later said one motorcycle was the only one involved.
One person was taken to an area hospital by Huron Valley Ambulance, said Ypsilanti Township Fire Lt. Tom Stachlewitz.
One lane of the freeway was blocked for a short time, Stachlewitz said. It was reopened at 1:46 p.m.
